Resin Rock: PebbleTone
Natural pebble bound in clear resin and hand-troweled over your existing concrete. Seamless, permeable, and the best-looking surface we install.
Resin rock, also called resin bound stone, is the premium end of decorative surfacing and the product almost nobody in Idaho knows to ask for yet. Natural pebble is mixed with a clear polyurethane resin and hand-troweled over a prepared base, producing a seamless surface with no joints, no grout lines, and no loose gravel to track into the house or rake back into place every spring.
It looks like stone because it is stone
The aggregate is graded natural pebble, and the color comes from the rock itself rather than from a pigment that can fade out of it. That is why a resin rock surface still looks the same in year eight as it did in year one.
Idaho Concrete Crafters is the authorized dealer for Optus Resin, and PebbleTone is their product. It is the same category of surface you may have seen sold under other names.
Permeable, not sealed solid
Because the stone is bound rather than encased, water passes straight through the surface instead of sheeting off it. That matters for drainage, for flat areas that would otherwise pool, and increasingly for HOA and municipal requirements around impermeable surface coverage.
It is also comfortable underfoot, quiet to walk on, and forgiving in a way that bare concrete is not.
It goes over the concrete you already have
Resin rock installs over existing concrete that is sound and properly drained. A tired patio, walkway, pool surround, or courtyard can become the best-looking surface on the property without removing a slab, hauling out debris, or waiting on a new pour to cure.
What it costs
This is a premium product and it is priced like one. It is not the answer for a budget garage floor, and we will say so.
It is the answer when the surface is the thing people notice first, and you want it to look like it cost what it cost.
Serving Eagle, Boise, Meridian, Star, Nampa, Caldwell, and Kuna, plus the Magic Valley, McCall, Cascade, and Sun Valley. We travel anywhere in Idaho.
How we build it
Four steps over your existing slab, troweled out in one continuous pour.
Finished surface
Cross-section, not to scale
- Prep and profile the base
Resin rock goes over concrete that is sound and properly drained. We grind, repair, and profile the slab first, same as any other system.
- Prime
A resin primer seals the slab and gives the bound layer something to grip.
- Mix pebble and resin
Graded natural pebble is blended with clear polyurethane resin on site so every stone is fully coated. Under-mixed stone is what causes loose aggregate later, so this step is not rushed.
- Hand trowel to depth
The mix is troweled out in one continuous pour. No joints, no grout lines, no pavers to settle out of level. Water passes straight through the finished surface, so it drains rather than pools.

Photos do not do this surface justice. We will bring samples out so you can see the stone and feel the texture before you decide.
